This policy explains what personal information TruceLogistics collects through trucelogistics.ltd, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email us at info@trucelogistics.ltd.
What we collect
- Quote, contact and enquiry forms: your name, email address, and anything else you enter, such as phone number, company, service needed and your message.
- Newsletter: your email address.
- Shipment tracking: the tracking number you enter. Shipment details shown on the tracking page come from the booking made with us.
- Live chat: the messages you send and the details you choose to share in the chat window.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser type and pages visited, recorded in standard server logs for security and to keep the site running.
How we use it
- To reply to your quote request or question, and to arrange and manage your shipment.
- To show the status and location of a shipment when its tracking number is entered.
- To send the newsletter you signed up for. Every issue lets you unsubscribe.
- To protect the website against spam, fraud and misuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
Services that process data for us
We rely on a small number of providers to run this site: our web host (Hostinger), our email provider, the live-chat service (Chatway), and OpenStreetMap, which supplies the map tiles and place lookups on the tracking page. When the tracking map loads, your browser contacts OpenStreetMap servers directly, which means they receive your IP address. These providers may only use your information to deliver their service to us.
Cookies
The site uses cookies that are needed for it to work, for example to keep the live chat session open and to remember your login on the account page. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and shipment records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our legal, tax and customs record-keeping obligations. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email info@trucelogistics.ltd and we will reply within one month. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
